Customer Service Representative
Duties and Responsibilities:

Answer incoming customer service calls, process orders received via telephone, fax, email and sales representatives.

Provide copies of orders with shipping instructions to operations and shipping department.

Provide order confirmations to customers; follow up with revised target dates.

Act as a liaison between the customer and other areas of the organization (including operations, shipping, sales, and accounting) to resolve customer issues.

Review/log daily production completed/manufactured work against open orders.

Work with freight forwarders and trucking companies to obtain rate quotes; schedule international shipments; approve freight bills.

Prepare shipping paperwork for international shipments; invoice all orders.

Review customer price agreements for upcoming expiration dates.

Prepare NAFTA certificates.
Minimum Requirements for this position are as follows:
-
High school diploma.
-
Prior experience in a customer service role.
-
Excellent telephone, interpersonal, and written skills.
-
Proficient with Microsoft Office Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word and Excel).

Able to handle multiple tasks at once in a fast-paced environment.
Other highly desired skills/experience include:
-
Prior experience with international shipments and freight forwarders.
-
Experience with and understanding of hazmat shipping.
-
Calm demeanor to handle stressful situations professionally.
